About the qualification
Our CHC42021 Certificate IV in Community Services qualification reflects the role of community services workers who provide a range of services and support to individuals and groups. These roles may include direct client work, as well as assisting in program delivery and implementation. At this level, workers have greater autonomy and responsibility, often operating with limited supervision and overseeing or guiding others. Work may be carried out in various community services settings including in health, social welfare and outreach organisations.
Upon successfully completing this nationally recognised qualification, students should be able to:
Apply advanced communication techniques in diverse community services environments
Provide person-centred services with greater autonomy and decision-making
Identify and implement safe work practices in line with organisational policies
Assess and respond effectively to the complex needs of clients
Support community programs and contribute to their development and improvement

Duration
This qualification can be completed up to thirty-six months, dependent on the student's experience, Credit Transfer (CT) or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Apply for CT or RPL during enrolment.

Student Requirements
The following will be required for the enrolment process:
Unique Student Identifier (USI)
verifiable identification documents
completion of the LLN assessment.

Students will require access to appropriate technology and internet if the materials are delivered online.
We collaborate with employers to support students in the workplace. Workplace assessments may be required for some units of competency.
This nationally recognised qualification is delivered and assessed by Aurora Training & Professional Services Pty Ltd, RTO ID 90966, ABN 39 109 662 606. This training will deliver skills and knowledge to the industry standard but does not guarantee a job. We tailor training for people from diverse backgrounds, including those with a disability.

Should you require an RPL assessment, please contact us for fees and arrangement.
Aurora Training & Professional Services does not accept upfront payments of more than $1,500 from students. If a student's fee is more than this amount, the support of a flexible payment plan will be offered to students.
