About the qualification
Our SIR30216 Certificate III in Retail qualification is designed to prepare individuals for varied roles across different industries and environments while exercising professional judgement. Throughout the program, students should develop a broad range of competencies and learn to apply them with discretion and relevant theoretical knowledge.
Upon successfully completing this nationally recognised qualification, students should be able to:
communicate effectively with customers to build rapport
handle inquiries and provide outstanding customer service
follow necessary safety procedures to keep the work environment safe, clean and hygienic
use sales techniques, present products effectively, answer customer questions about features and benefits, and upsell and cross-sell products.

Duration
This qualification can be completed up to thirty-six months, dependent on the student's experience, Credit Transfer (CT) or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Apply for CT or RPL during enrolment.

Student Requirements
The following will be required for the enrolment process:

completion of the LLN assessment.

We collaborate with employers to support students in the workplace. Workplace assessments may be required for some units of competency.
